Metal cutting types modeling methods are customarily divided into: ① ordinary sand type cutting, including wet sand type, dry sand type and chemical hardening sand type 3 categories. ② Special cutting, according to the molding material can be divided into natural mineral sand as the main molding material of special cutting (such as investment cutting, mud cutting, cutting workshop shell cutting, negative pressure cutting, solid cutting, ceramic cutting, etc.) and metal as the main casting material of special cutting (such as metal cutting, pressure cutting, continuous cutting, low pressure cutting, centrifugal cutting, etc.). Metal cutting process usually includes: ① preparation of mold (container for making liquid metal into solid castings). The mold can be divided into sand mold, metal mold, ceramic mold, mud mold, graphite mold, etc. according to the materials used, and can be divided into disposable mold, semi-permanent mold and permanent mold according to the number of uses. The quality of mold preparation is the main factor affecting the quality of castings; ② Melting and pouring of cut metals, cutting metals (cutting alloys) mainly include cast iron, cast steel and cutting non-ferrous alloys; ③ Casting treatment and inspection, casting treatment includes removal of foreign matter on the core and casting surface, removal of gating risers, shoveling and grinding of protrusions such as spines and seams, as well as heat treatment, shaping, rust prevention treatment and roughing.
